Vin to Yin

This class gets moving at a moderate pace from a standing position. The physical movements and instructions ensure a present mind at a quicker pace.

The standing series will build strength, flexibility, and balance. The poses flow in a smart sequence that gently connects the whole body. Each pose is held for 45-75 seconds. This gives plenty of time to correct alignment, get deeper, build strength and breathe calmly.

Around the 35 minute mark, the pace changes from vinyasa to yin yoga. This is where the magic happens and benefits are felt by all. The blood is pumping from the standing sequence but the pace slows down. Each pose is held for 2-2.5 minutes. The body is open from vinyasa so the most important part of the remainder of the class is to breathe slow. The instructor will guide you into soothing floor poses, while gravity and breath do the rest. Props are encouraged and full instructions on how to use them will be given.
